Meet Dr. Sharma
Dr. Davek Sharma
A local to Fort Myers, Dr. Davek Sharma graduated from Bishop Verot High School in 2007, and we are thrilled and excited to have him back home in Lee County. After completing his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, ranked #1 public university by the Wall Street Journal in 2024, he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Go Gators! He then went on to receive his medical degree from Florida International University College of Medicine in Miami, FL, one of the most diverse medical schools in the U.S.
After completing medical school, he joined Jefferson Health in Abington, Pennsylvania, where he completed his 5-year residency in General Surgery. During his surgical residency, he received the exceptional teaching resident award, and he served as Chief Resident in his final year.
Next, Dr. Sharma continued his training by completing a 3-year independent fellowship in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Reading Hospital | Tower Health. Reading Hospital has been recognized for its quality outcomes and clinical expertise and is in the top one percent of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance. During his advanced fellowship training, Dr. Sharma completed over 1,700 plastic surgery operations.
